Laser Treatments For Weight Loss

The use of FDA-approved lasers for treatment of fat loss is definitely considered one of the more advanced options for weight loss. This weight loss procedure should always be administered by a doctor even though it’s a cold laser or sometimes referred to as ‘Low-Level Laser Therapy’ which uses low levels of light to stimulate fat cells which is noninvasive and painless.

The Verjú laser system is made up of (6) low level laser beams that sweep the area of concern for a treatment period of 30 minutes (15 minutes per area front and back). The region is then massaged with the Erchonia percussion device for two minutes per area treated. There is no pain involved, no heating of the tissue, no incisions and patients can continue their daily routines immediately following their session. No diet and exercise is required, but should be encouraged for maximum benefit. Dr. Sydney Hughes will determine the number of treatments depending on his assessment of what grade level the cellulite is. – Most Advanced Treatment for the Appearance of Cellulite. – Pain Free Procedure with No Downtime Afterwards. – No Side Effects or Adverse Events. – Results in as Little as Two Weeks.

How Laser Treatments work

As mentioned above at ‘Weight Loss Long Island’ we use FDA-approved lasers which use low levels of light to stimulate fat cells, these fat cells then collapse or the fat is pushed out of the fat cells in the targeted areas, and their content is naturally released as waste from your body, resulting in fat loss. The intent of laser treatment is to contour the body, which means its primary objective is not going to help you lose weight if you are considered obese or even more than 25 lbs. overweight. But if you are more concerned about problem areas, like in the hips, waist, and thighs especially if you have recently lost weight or had plastic surgery you are the ideal candidate for laser treatments.

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) or cold laser is 100% non-invasive and doesn’t even heat your body tissue when focused so you shouldn’t feel anything, therefore not requiring anesthesia because there is no pain, in fact sessions can be quite relaxing in the right atmosphere.

In order to see results from Low-Level Laser Therapy you must commit to multiple sessions each week for several weeks, and not go more than 72 hours between treatments for best results.

Laser fat-removal therapies are not recommended for women who are pregnant or trying to become pregnant, or for people who have pacemakers. The laser also won’t address any underlying metabolic, hormonal, or other physical issues that may have caused the weight gain, so you should consult your doctor first.
